The shop from which the princess used to go for the perfume went to the store and cast a spell on the bottle that was to be sent to the princess. The princess got the bottle right but fell on a stone and broke it. The sorcerer had performed such a spell that perfume makers started loving him (the sorcerer). Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Catholicism has been practiced openly in Lithuania and the Hill of the Cross has become a tribute to the country's turbulent past, its convictions, and those who died in the Lithuanian independence fight.

One of the local artists and historians named Vilnius Pouronas reported that "the hill has many mysteries". Also claimed in folklore, the place had a church where this mysterious hill now stands. In a terrible storm, very powerful lightning struck the church and the storm buried it under a pile of sand and rock and it is still in. He got this vision when the girl was lying on her death bed. According to the vision, the Women asked him to collect a wooden cross and place it on a nearby hill. By doing this, it will be cured. In the morning, the father hurried and carved a wooden cross and placed it near the hill. As soon as he returned home, his daughter once again stood at the perfectly healthy gate to welcome him.
